Terms

The fair-go version.

The terms of using EasyMeet, in plain English. Draft pending final review.

About these terms

These terms cover use of EasyMeet by swim clubs and their volunteers. This is a plain-English draft and will be finalised with a legal review before public launch.

The service

EasyMeet turns phones into a synchronised timing system for swim meets. It runs in the browser with no app install, and a standard meet needs no hardware (an optional wired starter button is available). Times are produced from volunteer taps, timed against a shared start signal by our server.

Accounts

Coaches and club admins are responsible for their account and for who they invite to time. Volunteer timer and starter phones join by short code without an account.

Timing and accuracy

Every phone starts together on one server-timed GO signal, and two phones per lane are averaged, with times read to a hundredth of a second. As with all hand timing the finish is judged by a person tapping, so clubs should treat results as hand times and verify them before using them for official records.

Official times and qualifying

EasyMeet is built for club nights, time trials and carnivals. Its times are suitable for club records, handicaps and performance tracking. For a time to count as a Swimming Australia official qualifying time, the meet must be conducted under licensed officiating per SA requirements. EasyMeet does not make a meet sanctioned.

Acceptable use

Use the service for running your club's meets. Do not attempt to disrupt it, abuse the public timing endpoints, or use it to store data unrelated to running a meet.

Availability

We work to keep the service reliable, including a backup channel for the start signal, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

Pricing and payment

Your first meet is free. Paid plans and their terms will be shown clearly on the pricing page when billing is enabled. No contracts and no hidden licence fees.

Liability

To the extent permitted by Australian law, EasyMeet is provided as is and our liability is limited. Nothing in these terms excludes rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Western Australia, Australia.
